UPDATE: Registration for the Spring 2020 season is now closed!

See you at the games…

Alrighty folks. Let’s make this official. Registration is now open for the Spring 2020 season, year 9 of the Seoul Baseball League.

Tentative dates:

  • February 29- SBL rookie meet and greet at Shenanigans
  • March 1- End of early bird league fees
  • March 7- New players practice, and draft at Wolfhound
  • March 21- Opening Day
  • Unknown date- Softball tournament
  • June 13- Playoffs
  • June 20- Banquet

This season will be an 8-9 game season, depending on the number of teams. There will be a draft party, bar crawl, league nights, and wicked banquet, as always.

League fees:

League fees are 100,000 KRW till March 1 (early bird). After that, they go up to 110,000 KRW. Rookies will pay 100,000 regardless.

If you bring in a new player to the SBL, you can take 5,000 off your league fees per person. 75,000 is the minimum amount. So if you bring in 7 players, you’d still have to pay 75,000.

Skill sheet:

First time players need to fill out a skill sheet and email it to seoulbaseballleague2015@gmail.com. This will help captains with the draft. Download the skill sheet here.

Returning players do not have to. Just make sure to message when you have paid so I can confirm, and let me know if you are full-time or part-time.

Captains:

We currently have captains for 66 and Phillies. We need guys to step up and captain for Wolfhound, BOC, and Shenanigans. Captains draft themselves in the round they should be slotted. If you have a guy that’s a 1st rounder and a 7th rounder, that’s where you go to try and make everything as fair as possible.

Spread the word:

Please share this post on your page, along with any groups that you are in, or anywhere you think will get players to sign up. If you are military, please share this with any military groups or friends. We really need to get more military in to help us play on Yongsan. The plan is to play 6 games and playoffs there. Game times will be 1130 am and 2 pm on Saturdays. The other 2-3 games will be at Gwacheon Government Complex at 9 am and 1130 am.
If anyone wants to bar hop and hang up flyers this weekend, let me know.

If you have any questions regarding this season, you can post it below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. I hope everyone is looking forward to another great season.
